I believe that using feedback to assist learning especially with assessments can greatly help students understand concepts better. Especially with assessments, it is important for a teacher to proved feedback on what the student got wrong or what they could have done better. And it is important that the teacher explains what the correct answer is instead of merely saying it is wrong. If students are not able to see correct answers then they will never understand what they did wrong and therefore they will not understand the material being covered. When giving feedback teachers give students a chance to question themselves and to dig deeper into the possibilities behind questions and class material.
